IDC Smart City Forum 2017 was held in Almaty on November 1, 2017 - an event, gathered together over 300 attendees from government and business organizations for peer-to-peer networking and generation of new ideas for future cities’ development.
Within the framework of this forum the Commercial Director of "Orion System" Zyryanov A.V. made a presentation "Solutions for smart housing and utilities and a safe city."
Also, the program of the event discussed issues on the following topics:
- Smart Electricity
- Smart Water
- Smart Grid
- Smart Home and Smart Buildings
- Smart Meters
The Forum was organized by the IDC (International Data Corporation) company - the premier global provider of market intelligence, advisory services, and events for the information technology, telecommunications, and consumer technology markets.
On IDC Smart City Forum 2017 were introduced best practices used in creating Smart Cities around the world, from Singapore to New York, presented by IDC analysts from the global Smart Cities team. Over the past five years, the team has studied more than 500 cities that implemented Smart City projects, and has developed a unique Smart Cities Maturity Assessment, which is already used widely by many cities and even countries across the globe.
In Kazakhstan, Smart City technologies are already being adopted in Astana, Almaty, and Shymkent. Their successful use cases, plans for the future, and examples of best practices was included among key themes at the IDC Smart City Forum 2017.
