OrionM2M: LoRaWAN Technology
The LoRaWAN™ architecture, built on the "multi-star" topology, has the best ratio between increasing the battery life of IoT devices and providing communication range. The LoRa protocol, as a standard for LPWAN devices, uses a frequency range that is not licensed in most countries, which makes this solution unique in terms of cost and speed of implementation. The OrionM2M solution operates in the ISM 868 MHz band and meets all LoRa Alliance™ requirements.
The LoRaWAN™ standard allows you to build public, private or virtual networks, and connect different endpoints that use different applications (IoT, M2M, Smart City, Sensor-network and Industrial automation) in a single data environment. Terminals with already integrated modules or connected to OrionM2M modules exchange data directly with the gateways connected to OrionM2M servers via the Internet. Data processing and device management is carried out directly by the servers. Processed data and control commands are transferred between OrionM2M servers and application servers using special protocols. Gateways act as a transparent bridge that transmits messages between the end devices and the Network Server. This approach makes it possible to build both publicly available nationwide networks where gateways are connected to a network server through standard IP connections, and for dedicated networks that require the highest level of security and control.
